 MAP OF THE IMPERIUM OF PHILLIP II (P.60) WHAT? this is a map of the world that shows us the territories belonging to Hispanic Monarchy. WHEN? During the reign of Charles I (V of Holy Roman Empire) (1516-1556) and his heir and son Phillip II (1556-1598). WHERE? As we saw before it is a map of the world, but it points overall areas of Africa, America, Asia and Europe. HOW: Coloured in orange we can apreciate posessions of Charles I (Castilla, Canarias, Aragon, and Mediterranean, Asian and American territories Netherlands and Holy Roman Empire; in purple of Phillip II (the same excepting Holy Roman Empire) adding new territories (in Central and South America, and territories like Portugal and its colonies in Africa, America and Asia) and in both colours the places in common.
